Best of all, I teach you how to never need to buy bees again and you will connect with other beekeepers and form lasting friendships with your new bee buddies.

  • Private Lessons

Get expert advice in your location, working with your bees.

Completely new and want advice on how to get started, situating your hive, and ordering equipment? Avoid costly and annoying errors with expert advice.

Already started and feeling overwhelmed and confused? That’s OK, I start with troubleshooting your hive and fixing any mistakes you have made so far. Then, once you are back on track you will learn how to have more success and more fun going forward so this becomes a lasting hobby and not a source of stress.

    These lessons cost $75/hour.

  • Not sure you are ready?

Beekeeping is not for everyone and it isn’t as simple as putting bees in a hive, not even a Flow hive (especially not a Flow hive…). It takes commitment to a lot of learning, investing in the right equipment, and quite a bit of work, especially your first two years. Many new beekeepers become overwhelmed or frustrated when reality comes into contact with their dreams.

For those who want to learn more about bees and get a ‘taste’ of having bees without the stress, I created my Sweetness and Light hive rental program. Check that out as a first step towards having bees or an alternative to keeping your own.
